Jakarta Fashion Week - Day 4: Tokyo Fashion Week presents Somarta & Motonari Ono S/S 2014

Went to these Japanese designers show on the fourth day of Jakarta Fashion Week (10/22). I personally didn't really catch up with Japan fashion scene latest trends, but I enjoyed this show as much as I love their piece full of Japanese peculiarities -- watching the show makes me feel away to the 'sunrises country' itself. Scroll through the pages to feel the sense!

 MOTONARI ONO

The dresses and pieces from Motonari Ono on this runway were full of big ruffles, waterfall skirt and ruffles accent, laces, typical Japanese flower prints, obi accent, sweet bow tie, the color used (pastels and dark maroon), and also the cutting and lining itself will remind us of Japanese classics. Some dress surely shown its own origin even from the material, that really shown the character of Japanese manufactured.
MOTONARI ONO

SOMARTA

In contrast with Ono, Tamae Hirokawa -- the designer behind Somarta -- shown the edgier, rockier, contemporary side of Japanese modern clothing without leaving the Japanese fashion character itself. The using of lace accent and waterfall skirt were shown, and some of Tamae Hirokawa design on blazer reminds me of Japanese traditional clothing.

I call this dress The Swan --  in my head.

My favorite? The nude color floral pattern waterfall dress from Motonari Ono, the red-gold dress from Somarta, and The Swan.
