Morning Stroll

Summer holiday is finally here! This morning, I took a stroll out and ride a bike - after a long time. This off-shoulder top just inspired me to do so. I was thinking of pairing it with midi skirt actually, but it's better to riding bicycle with a trouser in real life... I guess?

Silent Statement

It's been one month plus since the previous article is live on the blog. Thesis deadline is now passed, another halfway to the 'freedom'. Yay!

As for the outfit today, I'm incorporating sporty items to the curve. I currently love skirt (or even dress) with bodycon silhouette -- c'mon, girl gotta show-off the progressing result of her cold-morning hard workout! To make the total look more laidback and less formal, I'm adding the slip-on sneakers and basic tee. I'm all about everything in moderation for daily outfit, lady-like yet very casual and comfortable. And that also, letting the lady stuff stands out, in today's outfit case is the bodycon skirt. Don't you think it sounds like a silent statement...?

Wearing a Uniqlo Disney Project t-shirt, Zara skirt, Gaudi skull scarf, Keds black lace slip-on, and Michael Kors "Selma" bag in black patent leather.

Clean Slate

A white pair of outfit is simply a clear statement, whether for working attire or after-hours, from day to night.

This time I complete the white sets with a pair of black suede ghillies for a lil' touch of edge. Wearing the outfit for a dinner jump right after thesis guidance and suffering Jakarta traffic, and right before suffering another traffic to the south for a rehearsal.
A thoughts: If the color of white means innocence, then let us simply conclude that white pair outfits never do wrong.

I was wearing white sleeveless shirt from Esprit, white cropped trousers from Mango, watch from DKNY, and a pair of black suede ghillies from H&M.

Jeans Night Out

It feels so good to be back again! Weeks of break wasn't that bad, except for the silence in this page -- please blame the exam and new schedule juggles...

The outfit shot was actually taken around a month ago, on Sunday night dinner. As long as I remember, this is my first night-out outfit that I showcase on the blog. We usually find it hard to shoot at dark night, but when we found out this venue full of colorful Chinese-y lanterns, I immediately decided that we should take this like...now! The denim shirt I wore here is one of my current favorite of the season, it's so practical and can easily worn to top off any other outfit, and it also warm enough to be tucked in it! Found the shirt abandoned unwanted and lonely on my mom's closet one day, and don't know why I instantly fell in love so she's now living at my place. Matched the denim shirt with my jeans at the moment, and complete it up with the newly-in pointed flats that pretty much remind me of 60 kind of. Looks like both of 'em will likely appear more often here in the near future...

Flowers Are Blue

There are times when we feel so low in self-esteem, but there are also times when we feel good and so in confidence. I'm feelin' bad and low about myself these few months, and actually I was intend to keep it by myself... but nothing's change or going better of this feeling, so I decided to write it up. Maybe this could make me feel better about myself. I know we change as we are growing up (as I ever wrote before), and I might don't like how I changed. I started to stop doing what I like, I can't help even though I still want to... And walk out off the comfort zone, in a very bad way because it seems that I can't find myself anymore... I have no real social life anymore, even now I'm bad at picking up lines unlike I'm used too. I want 'me' to comeback, but I still can't find how. Sometimes I feel it's a lack of space, I feel like I have no space at home lately, and all I want is moving-out and start living independently by my own. I know that this is common for those who born or bred Western. But I raised Eastern in a family that believe that it's better to always (physically) together even when you are moving out the city or abroad for school, and especially having a mom that really over-protect me... I still haven't found out how to solve or went through this problem, that's why I write -- in hope that you will read this and may be come up with a good idea or point of view. :)

So talk about the outfit. Going back to my favorite clothing piece (or call it uniform?) of flare skirt, and mix it with the blue cropped sweatshirt with a matching chunky necklace to it, and complete up the whole look with my current favorite black Chelsea boots. Wearing this preppy outfit on a Saturday afternoon in a park -- I even have no idea why I and my boyfriend love to spend the weekend on the park lately. Maybe because everything in the fall is so harmonious and good looking? Yeah. Flowers are blue, they are truly beautiful...and so you are.

Walk in the Park

When the weather is still warm enough to call it sweater weather, yet the outfit mood is already set for autumn...le' just wear a scarf over the easy t-shirt! Sporting the normcore trend by wearing my good old Converse slip on and rolled-up jeans. Oh I'm in love more and more with this demi curve black Levi's jeans since I try to roll up the edge, and been wearing it everyday straight in a week ever! (Actually the legs is too long for me, but since this is the first time my pants ever go this way and I hesitate to cut them up, so I let it stack on my ankle. So glad to finally found the other way to wear it cool!)

Wore this outfit on one fine Sunday - when a supposed rehearsal meeting postponed the night before - we eventually take a good walk in the park before the sun goes down and it's time to run for dinner.

Knitted Sweater of the Year

Those white and grey sweaters are definitely my knitwear of the year! Have been wearing them non-stop through the seasons since I got them on last mid fall, well except the hot weeks and beach-days of summer. If you followed this blog for quite a long time, you maybe has saw me several times wearing the knitted sweater here and here. I'm crazy when I fall in love with a piece and can't stop wearing it (as seen on the previous summer style diary series). The comfort and detail uniqueness of the sweaters have stole my heart away, and I'm not sorry I took the large size for the white one - I love how it looks loose and boxy on me! Pair 'em up with a vintage short jeans and 'my kind-of-skirt', and complete it up with my old but new favorite white ballerina flats. Sure, I can't wait to shop and have another good invest of knit and sweater for this fall (and wearing it all year through)!

How I Wear White Boxy Top (Final Part)

It was raining last three days and the day is not-so-humid anymore here in Jakarta. My summer journey this year with the lovely and versatile white boxy top will end soon (but well, there will be an excitement for cozy and thicker clothes this season, and the summer sun will always come back again, aite!). I decided to unbutton the back and wore the piece with a basic denim short this time, and top it off with a large baseball cap for the peak of the hot summer days that happened two last Saturday. I even couldn't bear with the heels so picking my old slip-on sneaker is the best choice to resist the day.

What I Wear

Cotton On white cropped boxy top, Gaudi ripped denim short, my boyfriend's baseball cap with leather peak, Converse red slip-on sneakers, New Look flower gem necklace with chunky chain, and Uniqlo knotted hair band in navy (worn as bracelet)

Another schedule-free day around, wore out the top with a straight skirt and the velvet black pumps. The straight grey skirt made up this look into a little bit office kind of, but since roamed around working boyfriend that day... I think why not to try out the outfit. Completed the look with an iridescent lip clutch and the out-of-the box acrylic choker to make it more fun. Thank God, the skirt is thick enough to resist the transition wind!

Stripes & Wide

I was thinking of the way Parisian dressed as I pull off the clothes out of the wardrobe this morning: minimalist and classic. It was also like wearing my obsession toward Breton stripes and colors related to the Navy that will never stop! Here I wore my old stripes tee with my related-new chic wide pants from Lovita Hilman, I'm still amazed with the slits surprise on the legs side. Which one do you like it better, to wore and style it this way or that way?
